Advancing Open-Source Earables Research

If we want our science and technology to grow faster, we need to get more people on it, right?

Through this channel, we share our knowledge, materials, results and products that emerged from our earables research. A lot of what we do uses electrophysiological signals (EEG, EOG, ECG, EMG - ExG in short). All that we offer is available under open-source licenses to provide maximum access.

OpenBCI ExG Headphones Kit

This kit allows the recording of electrophysiological changes from electrodes around the ears and on the head. You know - while looking like a pair of headphones instead of an alien EEG-helmet or -cap!

As this is an open-source project, we share all our build instructions in the GitHub repository. At the same time, we are aware that some people might prefer purchasing a kit for easier and faster access. Hence, we are considering to offer such a kit - if we get a few requests. If you are among the interested, please just send us a short message via contact@expeeeriments.io

OpenBCI-cEEGrid Kit

The maximum quality ear-ExG system: Combining cEEGrids and the OpenBCI biosensing boards, you can easily realize earables studies with gelled, and lightweight electrodes.

cEEGrid Replacements

Need more cEEGrid electrodes for your project? We offer gold-plated replacements!

Worried about the recording suitability? This recent research highlights lower impedance of gold (Au) electrodes in the 1-1000Hz region than Ag/AgCl (but higher impedances <1Hz). So, for most EEG and EMG recordings, these gold-plated electrodes are a fantastic alternative!
